With respect to our AAPG/EAGE conference scheduled for May 2020 in Myanmar, we have been monitoring the global response to the Coronavirus, COVID-19, and especially the response of the Myanmar Government to this current pandemic. Considering the rapidly changing guidance from the government and companies and in line with guidance on the holding of events from the Myanmar Government, we have chosen to postpone the conference from 12-14 May 2020 to 20-22 October 2020. The venue will still be the Shangri La, Yangon.

We are fortunate to have excellent confirmed sponsors and presenters for the conference and the organising committee is very encouraged by the quality of the papers that have been approved for the conference. To dilute these presentations by continuing with the conference in May would impact the quality of the event, something we are never willing to do. We believe the event in October will benefit from our incredible lineup of speakers and even more time to refine our programme. We look forward to seeing you in October in Yangon. Meanwhile, we hope that everyone stays safe.
